Fire and Information box

Fire And Emergency Information Box

Developed in conjunction with Fire and Rescue experts, this box will centralise important information for emergency services. This solidly built, lockable metal enclosure can hold details about chemicals, livestock, site plans, and other information relevant to the emergency services. It comes supplied with 2 keys, one for the proprietor, and we suggest the other could held by the emergency services.

Now that the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, 2005 is enforced, the responsibility for adequate standards of fire safety has passed from the enforcing authorities to the occupier/owner of a premises and their team who will be required to provide risk assessments for fire safety, regardless of whether the stable is operated for business or pleasure.

Owners and proprietors of farms and equine establishments will have to identify how they will manage the risk of a fire at their premises, including identifying all the appropriate fire safety measures associated with their business. When conducting the fire risk assessment, the responsible person must take into account other legal duties, such as the welfare of animals, and ensure that adequate means are provided for giving warning in the event of a fire.

"Sparsholt College Equine Centre are delighted to be associated with Rural Safety Signs and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service in establishing best practice for Fire Safety within the Equine environment. Lockable Passport Cabinet

Animal Passports and Medicines need to be stored behind lock and key. Rural Safety Signs offers a small lockable cabinet, which is slim enough to conceal behind a seat in the cab of an animal transporter or behind a door of a tack or feed room.

Designed to protect your horses' passports when in transit. Easy to install concealed in your existing kitchen furniture, yet small enough to store elsewhere, such as behind the passenger's seat as shown in the photographs. The Passport Cabinet is currently available in cream or grey but we will try to match any requested colour scheme.

Horse In Distress - Safety Sign

Horse In Distress - Safety Sign

Some show grounds and events now insist your contact details are visible on your horsebox or towing-vehicle for your trailer so that you can be contacted immediately if your horse gets into difficulties while you are out of earshot. We provide easily attached magnetic signs with space for your contact information, which you can fix to any magnetic surface, or leave on the dashboard of your lorry or car while at a show and the magnetic signs are small enough to easily put out of sight when it would be less sensible to display the information.

With our innovative magnet sign attached to your lorry door, anyone that sees your horse in distress will know exactly who to contact immediately, and reduce the chances of accidents to your horses or ponies.

The flexible magnetic sign will attach to any metal door, and if required, can be removed from your vehicle when not in use. For just £9.50, you could prevent an accident to your horse. Buy one today so you can relax when you walk the course. Here are some testimonials from the experts:

Liz Edgar, Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of the BS, and Chairman of the UK Show Jumping Development Committee:
"What a superb idea. Iíve already bought a supply for everyone I know... this is a thoughtful and useful Christmas stocking filler. Every trailer or lorry that takes a horse to a showground should have one of these."

Sandra Fisher, Area Representative for The Pony Club:
"I think this is a brilliant idea - so simple yet so effective, and means owners can be contacted quickly if any distress or harm to their horses is minimized."

Robert Whitaker:
"Anything that costs less than a tenner and makes your horses safer has got to be a good idea."
